Medical applications
Mocin LP Eye Drop is a sterile, preserved-free, aqueous solution containing Loteprednol etabonate 0.5% w/v and Moxifloxacin 0.5% w/v. This combination preparation is indicated for the treatment of conjunctivitis, including allergic conjunctivitis, and for reducing ocular itching and redness associated with corneal rash and keratitis. The steroid component, Loteprednol etabonate, reduces inflammation and allergic reactions, while the antibiotic component, Moxifloxacin, targets bacterial infections. Mocin LP Eye Drop is administered topically, 4-6 times daily, as needed, to provide sustained release of the active ingredients. It is available in 5 mL and 10 mL multidose containers. Mocin LP Eye Drop is contraindicated in patients with a history of herpes simplex keratitis, corneal ulcers, or hypersensitivity to any of the components. Common adverse reactions include burning sensation, blurred vision, and eye pain. The most serious reactions are posterior subcapsular cataract formation and increased intraocular pressure, which may occur with prolonged use. As with any medication, patients should consult a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and treatment.
