Medical applications
MO 4 KT Eye Drops is a topical ophthalmic solution containing a combination of ketorolac tromethamine 0.5% w/v and moxifloxacin hydrochloride 0.5% w/v. This sterile, preserved-free solution is indicated for the treatment of ocular inflammation and pain, as well as for the reduction of conjunctival erythema and photophobia associated with ocular surgery. The ketorolac tromethamine component provides potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, while the moxifloxacin hydrochloride component exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against a range of ocular pathogens. MO 4 KT Eye Drops may be used in patients with corneal ulcers or other conditions where antimicrobial therapy is necessary. The recommended dosage is one to two drops in the affected eye(s) every 4-6 hours, not to exceed 6 doses in 24 hours. MO 4 KT Eye Drops are contraindicated in patients with known sulfa allergy or a history of allergic reactions to ketorolac or moxifloxacin. As with any topical ophthalmic medication, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergic reactions to preservatives or other eye drops.
