Miglitol works by delaying the digestion of carbohydrates in the small intestine, thereby slowing the absorption of glucose into the bloodstream. This action helps to reduce the postprandial hyperglycemia and improve glycemic control. Misobit 50 Tablet has been shown to be effective in reducing hemoglobin A1c levels and improving fasting glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.
The most common adverse reactions reported include diarrhea, abdominal pain, and flatulence. As with all medications, patients should be monitored for signs of hypoglycemia, particularly when taking Misobit 50 Tablet with other antidiabetic agents.
