Milixim-O Tablet is a fixed-dose combination product containing Cefixime (200mg) and Ofloxacin (200mg), indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate bacterial infections, including community-acquired pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and uncomplicated gonorrhea. The tablet's dual-action mechanism combines the beta-lactam antibiotic Cefixime, which inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, with the fluoroquinolone Ofloxacin, which targets DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, hindering bacterial DNA replication and transcription. This synergistic combination provides broad-spectrum antibacterial coverage against Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens, including Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Haemophilus influenzae, and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The tablet's once-daily administration simplifies dosing and enhances patient compliance. Milixim-O Tablet is contraindicated in individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to Cefixime or Ofloxacin, and its use is not recommended in pediatric patients or pregnant women.
