Mikin 500 Injection is a sterile, pyrogen-free solution of amikacin sulfate, a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic indicated for the treatment of serious bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and infections in the central nervous system, bones, and joints. The solution is administered intramuscularly or intravenously as a single dose or divided into multiple doses over a period of time.

Mikin 500 Injection is effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Staphylococcus aureus, as well as many other pathogenic organisms. However, the use of aminoglycosides, including amikacin, is associated with a risk of nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity, and neuromuscular blockade, and patients should be closely monitored for signs of these adverse reactions.
As with all antibiotics, Mikin 500 Injection should be used only when clearly needed and in conjunction with appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
