Migranex 5 Tablet is a prescription-only medication indicated for the prevention and relief of migraine attacks. The active ingredient, flunarizine, is a calcium channel blocker that acts by reducing the release of neurotransmitters involved in the migraine process. Flunarizine has been shown to be effective in reducing the frequency and severity of migraine attacks, as well as alleviating symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and photophobia. Migranex 5 Tablet is available in a standardized strength of 5mg of flunarizine per tablet. The recommended dosage is one tablet once or twice daily, with a maximum daily dose of 10mg. Migranex 5 Tablet is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to flunarizine, and caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, liver or kidney disease, and concomitant use of medications that may increase the risk of seizures.
