The caffeine and ergotamine components work together to constrict blood vessels, reducing inflammation and pain, while paracetamol provides additional analgesic and antipyretic effects. Prochlorperazine, a dopamine antagonist, helps to alleviate nausea and vomiting. Migrafen Tablet is available in a single strength and should be taken as directed by a healthcare professional, typically one tablet every 30 minutes as needed, up to a maximum of three tablets in a 24-hour period.
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients, and caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, cardiovascular disease, or impaired hepatic function.
