Microcid-SR Capsule is a slow-release formulation containing 75mg of indomethacin, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat various conditions characterized by inflammation and pain. Microcid-SR is indicated for the relief of moderate to severe pain, inflammation, and fever associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.

It is also used to treat acute gouty arthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, and tendinitis. The slow-release technology allows for once-daily dosing, which simplifies treatment regimens and enhances patient compliance. The capsule is also indicated for the treatment of menstrual cramps, primary dysmenorrhea, and acute migraine. As with all NSAIDs, the use of Microcid-SR may be associated with gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding, as well as cardiovascular and renal adverse effects.
Patients should be closely monitored for these potential complications, particularly those with pre-existing gastrointestinal or cardiovascular disease.
