Microcid Capsule is a proprietary medicinal product containing indomethacin as the active pharmaceutical ingredient, available in a standardized strength of 25mg per capsule. It is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with various conditions, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Microcid Capsule is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, which are hormone-like substances that contribute to pain, inflammation, and fever.

The product is available in a delayed-release formulation, allowing for sustained release of the active ingredient over a prolonged period, thereby providing extended pain relief and anti-inflammatory activity. Microcid Capsule is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to indomethacin, as well as those with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding. As with all NSAIDs, there is a risk of gastrointestinal adverse effects, including nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, which may require dose reduction or discontinuation.
