Megnica is indicated for patients experiencing frequent migraine episodes, including those with aura, and for individuals suffering from peripheral and central vestibular vertigo. The tablet is generally well-tolerated; however, it should be used cautiously in patients with a history of depression, extrapyramidal symptoms, or Parkinson’s disease due to potential adverse effects such as drowsiness, weight gain, and extrapyramidal symptoms.
The recommended dosage is typically one 10mg tablet once daily, preferably at bedtime, to minimize daytime sedation. Megnica should be prescribed after a thorough evaluation of the patient’s medical history and concomitant medications to avoid interactions.
