Clavulanic Acid acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, protecting Amoxycillin from enzymatic degradation by beta-lactamase-producing organisms, thereby extending its antimicrobial spectrum. This combination is effective against infections caused by susceptible strains of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including respiratory tract infections, otitis media, sinusitis, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and dental infections. Megamox-CV Duo Dry Syrup is formulated as a dry powder for reconstitution, ensuring stability and ease of administration in pediatric and adult patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets.
