How It Works
Serratiopeptidase acts as a proteolytic enzyme, breaking down fibrin and other proteins involved in inflammation, thereby reducing pain and swelling.
Aceclofenac inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, leading to decreased synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation.
Paracetamol works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, leading to reduced synthesis of prostaglandins in the brain, which are responsible for pain and fever.

Makdol-SP Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Aceclofenac 100 mg, Paracetamol 325 mg, and Serratiopeptidase 15 mg. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), provides effective relief from pain and inflammation by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic, alleviating mild to moderate pain and reducing fever through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.

Serratiopeptidase, a proteolytic enzyme, enhances the anti-inflammatory effect by breaking down inflammatory mediators and promoting the resolution of edema and swelling. This synergistic combination is indicated for the management of musculoskeletal disorders, postoperative pain, dental pain, and other inflammatory conditions. Makdol-SP Tablet offers rapid and sustained relief from pain and inflammation while improving tissue healing.
It is generally well tolerated; however, caution is advised in patients with gastrointestinal ulcers, hepatic or renal impairment, and hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or any component of the formulation. The medication should be used under medical supervision, with adherence to prescribed dosage to minimize adverse effects such as gastrointestinal discomfort, allergic reactions, or hepatic dysfunction.
