Mahawin CV is indicated for the treatment of various infections caused by susceptible organisms, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and otitis media. The combination is particularly effective against beta-lactamase-producing pathogens such as Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus aureus, and certain Enterobacteriaceae.
Dosage and duration of therapy should be determined based on the severity and type of infection, as well as patient-specific factors. Caution is advised in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to cephalosporins, penicillins, or beta-lactamase inhibitors. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances such as diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal discomfort.
