Mahagesic-ACP Tablet is a combination analgesic and muscle relaxant formulation containing Aceclofenac (100 mg), Paracetamol (325 mg), and Chlorzoxazone (250 mg). Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), provides effective relief from pain and inflammation by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes involved in prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic, enhancing pain relief and reducing fever through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. Chlorzoxazone, a centrally acting muscle relaxant, alleviates muscle spasms and associated discomfort by depressing polysynaptic reflexes in the spinal cord. This combination is indicated for the symptomatic management of musculoskeletal conditions such as strains, sprains, back pain, and other painful muscle spasms where inflammation and muscle stiffness coexist. Mahagesic-ACP offers a synergistic effect, providing rapid and effective relief from pain, inflammation, and muscle spasm, thereby improving patient mobility and quality of life. It should be used under medical supervision, with caution advised in patients with hepatic, renal, or cardiovascular conditions.
