Mahaflox KT Eye Drop is a combination ophthalmic solution containing Ketorolac tromethamine (0.4% w/v) and Moxifloxacin hydrochloride (0.5% w/v), formulated for the management of ocular inflammation and bacterial infections. Ketorolac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation, pain, and swelling in the eye.

Moxifloxacin, a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic, provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication and transcription. This dual-action formulation is indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis and the alleviation of postoperative inflammation following ocular surgeries.
Mahaflox KT Eye Drop is typically administered as one or two drops into the affected eye(s) every 6 to 8 hours, as directed by a healthcare professional. Patients should avoid contact lens use during treatment unless advised otherwise. Caution is advised in patients with hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or fluoroquinolones.
