Cefoperazone, a third-generation cephalosporin, exerts bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, while Sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, enhances the efficacy of Cefoperazone by preventing enzymatic degradation by beta-lactamase-producing bacteria. This synergistic combination is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens, including resistant strains.
