Magadol 50mg/325mg Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Diclofenac 50mg and Paracetamol 325mg. Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic agent, acts centrally to alleviate pain and reduce fever through inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. This combination provides effective relief from mild to moderate pain associated with conditions such as musculoskeletal disorders, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, dental pain, postoperative pain, and dysmenorrhea. Magadol is indicated when monotherapy with either agent is insufficient, offering enhanced analgesic efficacy with a potentially lower risk of adverse effects compared to higher doses of individual components.
