Lynkmox-LP Eye Drop is a combination ophthalmic solution containing Loteprednol etabonate 0.5% w/v, a corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory properties, and Moxifloxacin 0.5% w/v, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic. This formulation is indicated for the treatment of ocular inflammatory conditions accompanied by bacterial infections or at risk of bacterial contamination. Loteprednol etabonate acts by inhibiting multiple inflammatory mediators, thereby reducing inflammation, edema, and associated symptoms such as redness and discomfort. Moxifloxacin exhibits bactericidal activity against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial replication. Lynkmox-LP Eye Drop is commonly prescribed for postoperative inflammation and infection prophylaxis following ocular surgeries, as well as for bacterial conjunctivitis and other inflammatory ocular conditions with suspected bacterial involvement. The combination therapy offers the advantage of simultaneous anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects, improving patient compliance and therapeutic outcomes. Caution is advised in patients with known hypersensitivity to corticosteroids or fluoroquinolones.
