Lupisulin N 40IU/ml Injection contains Insulin Isophane, a long-acting insulin used in the management of diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control. This intermediate-acting insulin formulation provides a sustained release of insulin, helping to regulate blood glucose levels over an extended period, typically up to 12-18 hours. Lupisulin N is indicated for patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus who require insulin replacement therapy and for those with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and oral hypoglycemic agents alone do not provide adequate glycemic control.

The insulin is administered subcutaneously, usually once or twice daily, depending on the individual’s glycemic profile and physician’s recommendations. Dosage must be individualized based on patient needs, blood glucose monitoring, and response to therapy. As with all insulin products, careful attention should be paid to avoid hypoglycemia, which can result from excessive insulin dosing, missed meals, or increased physical activity.
Patients should be educated on proper injection techniques, storage conditions, and the importance of regular blood glucose monitoring. Lupisulin N should not be administered intravenously or used in insulin pumps. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to insulin or any excipients.
