This combination allows for improved glycemic stability with fewer injections compared to separate basal and bolus regimens. Lupisulin M 30 is indicated for the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and oral hypoglycemic agents alone do not provide adequate glycemic control. The solution is administered via subcutaneous injection, with dosing individualized based on the patient’s metabolic needs, blood glucose monitoring, and lifestyle factors.
Careful titration is essential to minimize the risk of hypoglycemia, the most common adverse effect associated with insulin therapy. Patients should be educated on proper injection technique, storage conditions, and recognition of hypoglycemia symptoms. Lupisulin M 30 should not be administered intravenously or intramuscularly and is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to insulin or any excipients.
