This dual action helps to improve glycemic control by reducing fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels. Lupisit is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents such as metformin, sulfonylureas, or insulin. The recommended dose is typically 100 mg once daily, with or without food, and dose adjustments may be necessary in patients with renal impairment.
