Lufen Eye Drop contains Flurbiprofen 0.03% w/v, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indicated for ophthalmic use. It is primarily utilized to reduce inflammation and pain associated with ocular surgery, including cataract extraction and refractive procedures. Flurbiprofen exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby decreasing the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of inflammation and pain.

This action helps to prevent intraoperative miosis and control postoperative inflammation. Lufen Eye Drop is also employed in the management of allergic conjunctivitis and other inflammatory conditions of the eye. The solution is typically administered as one or two drops into the affected eye(s) several times daily, as directed by a healthcare professional. Caution is advised in patients with hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or any component of the formulation.
Use during pregnancy and lactation should be under medical supervision. Adverse effects may include transient burning or stinging upon instillation, blurred vision, and, rarely, corneal irritation or ulceration with prolonged use. It is essential to avoid contamination of the dropper tip to prevent ocular infections. Lufen Eye Drop should be stored at room temperature, protected from light, and kept out of reach of children.

How to use Lufen Ophthalmic Solution This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.
