Flurbiprofen exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby decreasing the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of inflammation and pain. This action helps to prevent intraoperative miosis and control postoperative inflammation. Lufen Eye Drop is also employed in the management of allergic conjunctivitis and other inflammatory conditions of the eye. The solution is typically administered as one or two drops into the affected eye(s) several times daily, as directed by a healthcare professional.
