Clozapine exerts its therapeutic effects by modulating various neurotransmitter receptors in the brain, including dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT2A receptors, which helps in alleviating both positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia.

Lozapin is also effective in reducing the risk of recurrent suicidal behavior in patients with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. The recommended dosage should be individualized based on patient response and tolerability, with careful titration to minimize adverse effects. Due to the risk of agranulocytosis, regular monitoring of white blood cell counts and absolute neutrophil counts is mandatory throughout the treatment period.
Common side effects may include sedation, hypersalivation, weight gain, dizziness, and orthostatic hypotension. Clozapine should be used with caution in patients with a history of seizures, cardiovascular disease, or hepatic impairment. It is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to clozapine or a history of agranulocytosis related to its use. Lozapin 100mg Tablet should only be prescribed and monitored by healthcare professionals experienced in managing antipsychotic therapy.
