Loyfenac TP 4 Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Thiocolchicoside 4 mg, Aceclofenac 100 mg, and Paracetamol 325 mg. This formulation is primarily indicated for the management of musculoskeletal pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as acute lower back pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and soft tissue injuries. Thiocolchicoside acts as a muscle relaxant by selectively inhibiting glycine and GABA receptors, thereby reducing muscle spasms and associated discomfort. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), provides potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), leading to decreased prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol contributes additional analgesic and antipyretic properties through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, enhancing overall pain relief.
