Lotik Ophthalmic Suspension contains Loteprednol etabonate 0.5% w/v, a corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the eye, including allergic conjunctivitis, postoperative inflammation following ocular surgery, and anterior uveitis. Loteprednol etabonate is a corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory properties, designed to reduce ocular inflammation by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators and suppressing the immune response.

The suspension formulation allows for effective topical application, ensuring localized therapeutic effects with minimal systemic absorption. Lotik Ophthalmic Suspension is typically administered as one to two drops in the affected eye(s) four times daily, with dosage adjustments based on clinical response and severity of inflammation. Caution is advised in patients with ocular infections, glaucoma, or a history of corticosteroid-induced intraocular pressure elevation.
Prolonged use may increase the risk of cataract formation and secondary ocular infections. Patients should be monitored regularly for intraocular pressure changes and signs of ocular infection during therapy. Lotik Ophthalmic Suspension should be used under the supervision of an ophthalmologist or healthcare professional experienced in the management of ocular inflammatory disorders.
It is contraindicated in viral, fungal, or mycobacterial eye infections. Proper administration techniques and adherence to prescribed dosage are essential to maximize therapeutic benefits and minimize adverse effects.

How to use Lotik Ophthalmic Suspension This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
