Ornidazole, an antiprotozoal agent, is effective against anaerobic protozoa and bacteria, disrupting nucleic acid synthesis. Itraconazole, a triazole antifungal, inhibits ergosterol synthesis, essential for fungal cell membrane integrity, making it effective against dermatophytic and yeast infections.
