Lobaset 10 Tablet contains Baclofen 10 mg, a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant primarily indicated for the treatment of spasticity resulting from multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, or other neurological disorders. Baclofen exerts its therapeutic effect by acting as a gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) agonist at GABA-B receptors in the central nervous system, leading to inhibition of monosynaptic and polysynaptic reflexes at the spinal level.

This results in decreased muscle spasticity, improved mobility, and reduced pain associated with muscle stiffness. Lobaset 10 is typically administered orally, with dosage individualized based on patient response and clinical condition, starting at a low dose to minimize adverse effects and gradually titrated as needed. Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, and gastrointestinal disturbances, which generally diminish with continued use.

Abrupt discontinuation should be avoided due to the risk of withdrawal symptoms such as hallucinations, seizures, and increased spasticity. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, epilepsy, or those receiving concomitant CNS depressants.
