Lmx Forte 500mg/125mg Tablet is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Amoxycillin 500mg and Clavulanic Acid 125mg. Amoxycillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin-class antibiotic effective against a variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances the efficacy of Amoxycillin by preventing the degradation of the antibiotic by beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria.

This synergistic combination provides an extended antimicrobial spectrum, making Lmx Forte suitable for the treatment of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and other bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. The tablet should be administered as prescribed by a healthcare professional, typically with or without food, to optimize absorption and therapeutic effect.
Caution is advised in patients with a history of penicillin allergy or hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics.
