Lizosan 600 Tablet contains Linezolid 600 mg, an oxazolidinone-class antibiotic indicated for the treatment of serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive pathogens, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE). Linezolid exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through binding to the 23S ribosomal RNA of the 50S subunit, preventing the formation of the functional 70S initiation complex. Lizosan 600 is primarily used in the management of complicated skin and soft tissue infections, community-acquired and nosocomial pneumonia, and infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms. The recommended dosage for adults is one tablet (600 mg) every 12 hours, administered orally, with treatment duration tailored according to the severity and type of infection. Caution is advised in patients with a history of myelosuppression, as Linezolid may cause thrombocytopenia, anemia, or leukopenia, especially with prolonged use. Concomitant use with serotonergic agents should be avoided due to the risk of serotonin syndrome. Monitoring of complete blood counts during therapy is recommended. Lizosan 600 should be used under strict medical supervision to ensure efficacy and minimize adverse effects.
