Lizoforce 600mg Tablet contains Linezolid, a synthetic antibiotic belonging to the oxazolidinone class, indicated for the treatment of serious Gram-positive bacterial infections, including those caused by multi-drug resistant strains such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant Enterococci (VRE). Linezolid exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through binding to the 23S ribosomal RNA of the 50S subunit, thereby preventing the formation of the initiation complex essential for bacterial translation.

Lizoforce 600mg is primarily used in the management of complicated skin and soft tissue infections, nosocomial and community-acquired pneumonia, and infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria where alternative treatments are ineffective or contraindicated. The recommended dosage and duration of therapy should be determined based on the type and severity of infection, renal and hepatic function, and patient-specific factors.
Caution is advised when co-administered with serotonergic agents due to the risk of serotonin syndrome. Common adverse effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, and reversible myelosuppression with prolonged use. Regular monitoring of blood counts is recommended during extended therapy.
