Clavulanic Acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, enhances the efficacy of Cefuroxime by preventing the degradation of the antibiotic by beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria. This synergistic combination is effective against various gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and otitis media.
