Liralin-DP Tablet

Linagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, enhances incretin hormone activity, increasing insulin release and decreasing glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner. The combined mechanism of action offers improved glycemic control by targeting complementary pathways involved in glucose homeostasis. Liralin-DP is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, especially in patients inadequately controlled with monotherapy.

The fixed-dose combination may enhance patient adherence by reducing pill burden. Common adverse effects include urinary tract infections, genital mycotic infections, nasopharyngitis, and potential risk of hypoglycemia when used with insulin or insulin secretagogues.
