Lincef Tablet is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Cefixime 200mg and Linezolid 600mg, designed for the treatment of a broad spectrum of bacterial infections. Cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin, exerts its bactericidal effect by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, making it effective against various Gram-negative and some Gram-positive organisms. Linezolid, an oxazolidinone class antibiotic, inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 23S ribosomal RNA of the 50S subunit, thus preventing the formation of the initiation complex, and is particularly active against resistant Gram-positive pathogens including MRSA and VRE.

How to use Lincef Tablet Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lincef Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Lincef Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
