Linapil-D 10 Tablet is a combination oral antidiabetic medication containing Dapagliflozin 10 mg and Linagliptin 5 mg, indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Dapagliflozin, a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, promotes renal glucose excretion by inhibiting glucose reabsorption in the proximal renal tubules, thereby reducing plasma glucose levels. Linagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, enhances incretin hormone activity, leading to increased insulin secretion and decreased glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner. The combined mechanism of action provides complementary glycemic control by improving insulin sensitivity and promoting urinary glucose elimination. Linapil-D 10 is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes, particularly when monotherapy with either agent is insufficient. It may be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic agents, including insulin. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, and regular monitoring of renal function is recommended.
