Linahenz 5mg Tablet contains Linagliptin 5mg, a potent and selective dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Linagliptin enhances the incretin system by preventing the degradation of incretin hormones, thereby increasing insulin secretion and decreasing glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner. This mechanism helps improve glycemic control without causing significant hypoglycemia or weight gain.

Linahenz is typically prescribed as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents such as metformin, sulfonylureas, or insulin when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate glycemic control. The tablet is administered orally once daily, with or without food. Linahenz is well tolerated, with a low risk of adverse effects; however, patients should be monitored for signs of pancreatitis, hypersensitivity reactions, and renal function alterations.
It is contraindicated in patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Dose adjustments are generally not required in patients with renal or hepatic impairment. Linahenz 5mg Tablet offers an effective and convenient therapeutic option for improving glycemic parameters and managing type 2 diabetes in adult patients.

How to use Linahenz Tablet Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Linahenz 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
