Laton Eye Drop contains Latanoprost 0.005% w/v, a prostaglandin F2α analogue indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Latanoprost works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor through the uveoscleral pathway, thereby effectively lowering IOP and reducing the risk of optic nerve damage and visual field loss associated with glaucoma.

The solution is typically administered as one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening, with consistent dosing essential to maintain therapeutic efficacy. Laton Eye Drop is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to latanoprost or any of the formulation components. Common adverse effects may include conjunctival hyperemia, eye irritation, increased pigmentation of the iris, eyelid skin darkening, and eyelash changes.
Patients should be advised to avoid contamination of the dropper tip and to remove contact lenses prior to instillation, waiting at least 15 minutes before reinsertion. Caution is warranted in patients with a history of ocular inflammation or herpetic keratitis. Laton Eye Drop should be used under ophthalmologic supervision, with regular monitoring of intraocular pressure and ocular health to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.

How to use Laton Eye Drop This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
