L-Cin 250 is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections including community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial sinusitis, and chronic bronchitis exacerbations, as well as urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and uncomplicated pyelonephritis. The tablet is administered orally and is well absorbed, achieving therapeutic concentrations in various tissues and fluids. Dosage and duration of therapy should be tailored according to the severity of infection, renal function, and patient-specific factors. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort, as well as headache and dizziness. Serious but rare adverse reactions include tendonitis, tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, and central nervous system effects.
