Kudzu Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), leading to reduced synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic agent, acts centrally to alleviate pain and reduce fever through inhibition of the prostaglandin synthesis pathway in the central nervous system. Kudzu Tablet is indicated for the management of mild to moderate pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, dental pain, and postoperative pain. The combination provides synergistic analgesic effects while minimizing the dose-related adverse effects of each component. It is generally well tolerated; however, caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, hepatic or renal impairment, and hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or paracetamol. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and allergic reactions. Kudzu Tablet should be used under medical supervision, adhering to recommended dosages to avoid potential toxicity, particularly hepatotoxicity associated with paracetamol overdose.
