KT-Lac 10 Tablet DT contains Ketorolac 10 mg, a potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the short-term management of moderate to severe pain. Ketorolac exerts its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of inflammation, pain, and fever.

KT-Lac 10 Tablet DT is formulated as a dispersible tablet, allowing for rapid dissolution and absorption, leading to a quicker onset of action compared to conventional tablets. It is indicated for the relief of postoperative pain, musculoskeletal pain, and other acute painful conditions where opioid analgesics are not required. The use of Ketorolac should be limited to short durations, typically not exceeding five days, due to the risk of adverse effects such as gastrointestinal irritation, bleeding, renal impairment, and cardiovascular events.
It is contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer disease, recent gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal or hepatic impairment, and known hypersensitivity to NSAIDs. Caution is advised in elderly patients and those with a history of cardiovascular disease. KT-Lac 10 Tablet DT should be taken as directed by a healthcare professional, and patients should be monitored for any signs of adverse reactions during therapy.
