Kizide Tablet

Trifluoperazine, a typical antipsychotic of the phenothiazine class, primarily acts as a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, helping to alleviate symptoms of schizophrenia, psychosis, and severe anxiety states. The combination therapy in Kizide Tablet is particularly beneficial in patients presenting with anxiety accompanied by psychotic features or agitation. It is indicated for short-term relief of anxiety symptoms, as well as for the treatment of psychotic disorders where both anxiolytic and antipsychotic effects are desired.

Dosage should be individualized based on clinical response and tolerability, with careful monitoring for potential side effects such as sedation, extrapyramidal symptoms, or dependency. Kizide Tablet should be used cautiously in patients with hepatic or renal impairment, and abrupt discontinuation should be avoided to prevent withdrawal symptoms.
