Kimpod-CV Tablet is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Cefpodoxime Proxetil 200 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg, designed to treat a broad spectrum of bacterial infections. Cefpodoxime Proxetil, a third-generation cephalosporin, exhibits bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, thereby effectively targeting susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms. Clavulanic Acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, enhances the efficacy of cefpodoxime by preventing the enzymatic degradation of the antibiotic by beta-lactamase-producing bacteria. Kimpod-CV is indicated for the management of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and otitis media caused by beta-lactamase-producing strains. The combination ensures a broader antimicrobial coverage, reducing the risk of resistance development. The tablet is administered orally, with dosage and duration tailored according to the severity and type of infection, as well as patient-specific factors.
