Kimpod 50 CV Dry Syrup Orange is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Cefpodoxime Proxetil (50mg/5ml) and Clavulanic Acid (31.25mg/5ml). Cefpodoxime Proxetil is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic effective against a broad spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic Acid acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, preventing the enzymatic degradation of cefpodoxime by beta-lactamase-producing bacteria, thereby enhancing its antibacterial efficacy.

This synergistic combination is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, otitis media, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and other susceptible bacterial infections in pediatric patients.
