Kiasita D 10/100 Tablet is a combination oral antidiabetic medication containing Dapagliflozin 10 mg and Sitagliptin 100 mg, indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that reduces renal glucose reabsorption, thereby promoting urinary glucose excretion and lowering blood glucose levels. Sitagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that enhances the incretin system by increasing levels of active glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), resulting in improved insulin secretion and decreased glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner.

The combination of these agents provides complementary mechanisms to improve glycemic control in patients inadequately controlled by diet and exercise alone. Kiasita D 10/100 is typically administered once daily, with or without food, under medical supervision. It is important to monitor renal function prior to and during therapy due to the renal excretion pathway of dapagliflozin.
Common adverse effects may include urinary tract infections, genital mycotic infections, and nasopharyngitis. This medication should be used cautiously in patients with renal impairment, and contraindications include type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, and hypersensitivity to any component.
