Ketorol Tablet contains Ketorolac 10mg, a potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the short-term management of moderate to severe pain. Ketorolac exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of inflammation, pain, and fever. This medication is commonly prescribed for postoperative pain relief, musculoskeletal pain, and acute pain conditions where opioid-sparing analgesia is desired.

Ketorol Tablet is indicated for adult patients and should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible, typically not exceeding five days, to minimize the risk of adverse effects. Common side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances such as dyspepsia, nausea, and abdominal pain, as well as potential renal impairment and increased bleeding risk due to platelet function inhibition.
Ketorolac is contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer disease, recent gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal impairment, or hypersensitivity to NSAIDs. Caution is advised in patients with cardiovascular disease, asthma, or those on concomitant anticoagulant therapy. Regular monitoring of renal function and gastrointestinal symptoms is recommended during treatment.
Ketorol Tablet should be administered under medical supervision, adhering strictly to prescribed dosage guidelines to ensure safety and efficacy.
