Ketorine DT Tablet contains Ketorolac 10 mg, a potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the short-term management of moderate to severe pain. Ketorolac exerts its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of inflammation and pain. Ketorine DT is indicated for the relief of acute musculoskeletal pain, postoperative pain, and other painful conditions where opioid analgesics are not required. The tablet is formulated as a dispersible tablet, allowing rapid dissolution and absorption, facilitating prompt onset of action. It is typically administered orally, with dosing adjusted according to the severity of pain and patient response, but should not exceed the recommended duration of use, generally limited to 5 days, due to increased risk of adverse events. Common side effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, dizziness, and headache. Serious adverse effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, renal impairment, and hypersensitivity reactions may occur, especially with prolonged use or in predisposed individuals.
