Ketol DT Tablet contains Ketorolac 10mg, a potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the short-term management of moderate to severe pain. Ketorolac exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of inflammation, pain, and fever. This tablet formulation is designed for rapid disintegration, allowing for quick onset of analgesic action.

Ketol DT is commonly indicated for postoperative pain, musculoskeletal pain, and other acute painful conditions where opioid-sparing analgesia is desired. It is intended for short-term use, generally not exceeding five days, due to potential risks associated with prolonged NSAID therapy, including gastrointestinal ulceration, bleeding, renal impairment, and cardiovascular events.
Ketorolac should be used with caution in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease, renal dysfunction, or cardiovascular disorders. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to ketorolac or other NSAIDs, active peptic ulcers, or those undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery. The tablet should be administered as per prescribed dosage, with adequate hydration, and patients should be monitored for adverse effects.
Ketol DT provides effective analgesia with a favorable safety profile when used appropriately under medical supervision.
