Ketoflam SR Tablet

Ketoflam SR is commonly prescribed for acute musculoskeletal pain, postoperative pain, neuralgias, and other painful conditions where conventional analgesics are contraindicated or ineffective. The sustained-release formulation ensures prolonged therapeutic plasma concentrations, allowing for convenient once or twice-daily dosing and improved patient compliance. It is important to use Ketoflam SR under medical supervision, as prolonged use beyond two weeks is generally discouraged due to potential hepatotoxicity.

Liver function tests should be monitored periodically during extended therapy. Contraindications include known hypersensitivity to Flupirtine, severe hepatic impairment, and concomitant use with other hepatotoxic drugs. Common adverse effects may include dizziness, nausea, and fatigue, which are usually mild and transient. Ketoflam SR should be used cautiously in patients with a history of liver disease, and it is not recommended during pregnancy or lactation.
