Ketanov Injection

Ketanov Injection is commonly administered intramuscularly or intravenously in hospital settings for postoperative pain control, renal colic, and musculoskeletal pain where opioid alternatives are preferred or contraindicated. The onset of analgesia is rapid, typically within 30 minutes, with effects lasting up to 6 hours. Due to its potent analgesic properties, Ketanov Injection is recommended for short-term use, generally not exceeding 5 days, to minimize the risk of adverse effects.

Contraindications include hypersensitivity to ketorolac or other NSAIDs, active peptic ulcer disease, recent gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal impairment, and patients at high risk of bleeding. Common adverse reactions may include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness, and injection site pain. Caution is advised in elderly patients and those with cardiovascular or renal comorbidities.
