Kenadion 10mg Injection contains Vitamin K (10mg) as its active ingredient and is indicated for the prevention and treatment of hypoprothrombinemia and bleeding disorders caused by Vitamin K deficiency. It is commonly used in cases of hemorrhagic disease of the newborn, anticoagulant overdose, and in patients with impaired absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. Administered via intramuscular or slow intravenous injection, Kenadion facilitates the synthesis of clotting factors II, VII, IX, and X, thereby promoting normal blood coagulation.

The onset of action is rapid, making it suitable for emergency reversal of anticoagulation effects. Dosage and administration should be tailored according to the severity of the deficiency and clinical condition of the patient. Caution is advised in patients with known hypersensitivity to Vitamin K or its components. Adverse reactions are rare but may include hypersensitivity reactions such as anaphylaxis, erythema, or local pain at the injection site.
Kenadion should be used under medical supervision, ensuring appropriate monitoring of coagulation parameters. It is contraindicated in patients with severe liver disease or those with Vitamin K-dependent coagulation factor deficiencies unrelated to Vitamin K deficiency. Proper storage conditions must be maintained to preserve the efficacy of the injection.
