Kauris-CTS 750 Injection is a sterile, injectable antibiotic formulation containing Ceftriaxone 500 mg and Sulbactam 250 mg. Ceftriaxone, a third-generation cephalosporin, exhibits broad-spectrum bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens. Sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, enhances the efficacy of Ceftriaxone by preventing enzymatic degradation of the antibiotic, thereby extending its spectrum to beta-lactamase producing resistant strains. This combination is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe infections including lower respiratory tract infections, complicated urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and septicemia caused by susceptible organisms. Kauris-CTS 750 Injection is administered via intramuscular or intravenous routes, with dosage and duration tailored according to the severity of infection and patient-specific factors such as renal function. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or beta-lactam antibiotics. Common adverse reactions may include local injection site pain, rash, gastrointestinal disturbances, and transient elevation of liver enzymes.
